MELANIE EUSEBE | BUSINESS STRATEGIST; CHAIR & FOUNDER, BLACK BRITISH BUSINESS AWARDS

Melanie is a Business Strategist with over 20 years experience as a Management Consultant, with a career that spans five continents working with some of the world’s biggest brands and largest organisations.  She shares her experience and love for teaching as a Professor of Business at a leading business school, as well as through her own online business school. Alongside being the Chair and Founder of the Black British Business Awards, Melanie was also the Executive Producer for the Women of the World Festival (WoW) a global gender equality festival occurring with over two million women over 50 cities in five continents. Recognized by the Queen for her efforts, Melanie has been profiled as one of the most influential women in Business and the Creative Industries in the UK.

ANDY LOPATA | BUSINESS NETWORKING STRATEGIST

Labelled ‘Mr Network’ by The Sun, Andy Lopata was called ‘one of Europe’s leading business networking strategists’ by the Financial Times and ‘a true master of networking’ by the Independent.

A very experienced international speaker, Andy is the author of three books on networking, has been quoted in a number of other business books and is regularly quoted in the international press. His fourth book will be published by Bloomsbury Publishing in 2019. Andy is a Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association (PSA) and of the Learning and Performance Institute and a Master of the Institute for Sales Management.

He is also one of just 23 recipients of the PSA’s top honour, the ‘Award of Excellence’.

ESTHER STANHOPE | CONFIDENCE SPEAKER & PERSONAL IMPACT EXPERT

Esther’s a confidence speaker and personal impact expert – known as The Impact Guru. 

A former ‘live’ senior BBC producer, she knows how to help people communicate with more confidence and gravitas.  That’s what she’s done for 27 years with ‘Big’ personalities, Hollywood stars (Madonna & George Clooney to name but a few) and world class business leaders.

A Londoner, she took a massive leap of faith in 2011 to leave a senior role at the BBC to set up her business helping people to, pitch, present and speak with more impact using her finely- tuned broadcasting skills.

TRACEY GROVES | FOUNDER & CEO, INTELLIGENT ETHICS

Tracey is a trusted business adviser and educator on ethical leadership to Boards and Senior Business Leaders and has deep consulting and business transformation experience.  Working at PwC UK for over 25 years, the last 6 years as a Forensics Partner, Tracey’s specialism is advising Leaders and delivering executive training on Corporate Governance, Culture and Behaviours, Trust and Ethical Business Conduct, driven by all types of reputational risk across diverse organisations, sectors and industries.

As the Founder and CEO of her own advisory business, Intelligent Ethics, Tracey is passionate about how developing Leaders define and embrace what ‘doing the right thing’ means to them using behaviours, culture and trustworthiness as critical levers for change and placing customers at the heart of doing sustainable and responsible business. Through her work she enables leaders of organisations to unlock high performance and business integrity by designing and delivering leadership development programmes, enhanced risk-based corporate governance frameworks and cultural assessment reviews with business ethics, trust, behaviours, corporate purpose and values at their heart.

Tracey helps Boards and Leaders to think differently about responsible leadership, trustworthiness, diversity, a customer-inclusive culture and ethical behaviours as drivers of a high performing business and creation of a trusted culture. She is experienced at communicating and engaging with individuals from Board and Executive level down, developing rapport and trust quickly and effectively based on her strong strategic relationship building capabilities.  Tracey is a qualified chartered accountant and certified organisational change management practitioner.

JENNY GARRETT | AWARD-WINNING COACH, SPEAKER & TRAINER

Jenny Garrett is an Award Winning Coach, Speaker and Trainer with over 12 years’ experience of running a Global Business. She is a Freeman of the Guild of Entrepreneurs – City of London and was listed in Brummell Magazines Top 30 City Innovators 2016.

Jenny works with individuals and organisations, using her unique combination of skills around gender balance, leadership and self improvement to inspire and empower, achieving career and life changing results beyond expectation.

She is best known for her work empowering working women, particularly female breadwinners, through her Amazon Bestselling Book Rocking Your Role. Her expertise in self improvement and personal development for leaders, and her work equipping teens with the skills that leaders of the future will need through her social enterprise Rocking Ur Teens.

She has reached an audience of over 30,000 through her speaking engagements, including two TEDx Talks, and coached individuals all over the globe from Australia, to Botswana, the US, Mexico, Spain and the UK, with over 4,000 coaching hours under her belt.

VANESSA VALLELY OBE | MANAGING DIRECTOR, WEARETHECITY

Vanessa is one of the UK’s most well-networked women and has provided keynotes on on a variety of career related topics for over 500 companies worldwide. Vanessa is also one of the UK’s most prominent figures in gender equality and often provides guidance and consultancy to both government and corporate organisations who are seeking to attract, develop and retain their female talent. Vanessa was awarded her OBE in June 2018 for her services to women and the economy.

At the height of her successful 25 year career in the financial services, Vanessa launched the award winning WeAreTheCity.com in 2008 as a vehicle to help women progress in their careers. WeAreTheCity.com now has over 120,000 members and provides resources/conferences/awards/jobs to women across the UK. Vanessa is the also the -founder of UK wide diversity forum Gender Networks. Gender Networks (formerly The Network of Networks) brings together diversity leaders from 85 cross sector firms to share best practice on a quarterly basis.

Vanessa is also the author of the book “Heels of Steel: Surviving and Thriving in the Corporate World” which tracks her career and shares 13 chapters of tips to succeed in the workplace.

Over the past ten years, she has been named Women in Banking & Finance’s Champion for Women, Financial News Top 100 Rising Star, The International Alliance for Women Top 100 Women globally & Brummells Top 30 London Entrepreneurs. In 2015 Vanessa was in GQ UK’s Top 100 Connected Women and the Evening Standard’s 1000 Most Influential Londoners. Kate Franklin is a passionate and straight-talking speaker. Kate adapts her material and approach to ensure she has a provocative and validating impact on every audience – from stressed executives at leadership conferences to primary school children. Kate is a successful entrepreneur and people development expert with over twenty years of global business experience, a fantastic knowledge base from which to share insights into leadership, change and resilience.

Kate is co-founder and Director of White & Lime, a people development consultancy specialising in peak performance for individuals and teams. She has been running her own business since 2005, in Washington DC and London. Before that she was head of leadership development for RSA Insurance, having held a range of leadership and strategic HR roles for RSA across UK and Europe over eight years.

Kate has worked on UK and global assignments for a broad range of clients including The Allied Irish Bank, Aviva, RSA Insurance, Thomson Reuters, Freshfields, Clifford Chance, Unilever and Save the Children. She’s a certified professional coach, accredited by the International Coaching Federation since 2005, and CIPD qualified since 2006.  Kate has been a systems coach and conflict expert since 2012, having completed extensive training and mentoring in the Organisations, Relationships and Systems Coaching (ORSC) methodology with the Center for Right Relationship.

VIV GROSKOP | MANAGING DIRECTOR, AUTHOR; HOW TO OWN THE ROOM

Viv Groskop is a writer, stand-up comedian and TV and radio presenter. She has hosted book tours for Graham Norton and Jo Brand, is the veteran of four Edinburgh Fringe shows and fronts the cult podcasts Dear Viv and We Are Women. She has presented BBC Radio 4’s Front Row and Saturday Review and appears regularly on BBC1’s This Week. As an executive coach, she works with women across business, media and advertising, helping them to hone their authority, presence and leadership.

Anna Baird is an accomplished digital transformation leader drawing on her customer experience consulting and technology background. Former Leader for a portfolio of the largest global Professional Service clients at LinkedIn, Anna’s now a Director for Cocoon Advisory Limited, a business she built to drive support for scale and transformation in new life stage businesses. Anna is also the Global Lead for Business and Services Training for Google Cloud. Active in a number of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, Anna is an advocate for the UN’s HeForShe commitment and championing Executives who lead with diversity of thought. KAY WHITE | AUTHOR AND THE SMART CAREER MOVES MENTOR FOR CORPORATE WOMEN

Kay White is known as The Smart Career Moves Mentor for Corporate Women and is the Author of two Number 1 best-selling books (The A to Z of Being Understood AND It’s Always Your Move).

Kay shows experienced corporate career women how to own and leverage their skills and experience so they more confidently navigate their career paths towards promotion, more recognition and more rewards (all without losing themselves along the way).

Drawing upon the highs and lows of her own +20-year corporate experience in insurance broking at Willis, London (starting as a Secretary and leaving as a Divisional Director) Kay brings her passion and experience for the energy of language, the art of influence and persuasion and making strategic, considered career moves to her clients.

Kay and her husband live close to London with 3 rescue Lurchers and much of Kay’s inspiration comes from walking the hounds, early in the mornings, in the local countryside.  Playing the drums (occasionally guest-spotting in a heavy rock band) and Water-skiing, Kay keeps herself flexible with Yoga and Pilates.

SOPHIE WALKER | FEMINIST ACTIVIST & FOUNDING LEADER OF THE WOMEN’S EQUALITY PARTY

Sophie Walker is a feminist activist and Founding Leader of the Women’s Equality Party. She is passionate about rebuilding politics, business and society for and with (extra)ordinary women, activating fresh thinkers and remodelling leadership for a changing world. She ran for London Mayor in 2016 and in 2017 stood for election to Westminster against ‘men’s rights’ MP Philip Davies, campaigning for equal pay, affordable childcare and an end to violence against women. She was named by Vogue in 2018 as one of the ‘New Suffragettes’ and is a regular speaker and contributor to media on the subject of women’s rights, representation and rebellion.

Dr Diahanne Rhiney BCAe is an award-winning women’s empowerment ambassador who steadfastly established an award-winning reputation as the first to specialise in diversity marketing and race relations almost three decades ago. Having travelled the world in her mission to empower women all over the globe, studied extensively, and consistently implemented her methods for female empowerment; she is a renowned speaker on the topics of business, wellness, empowerment, diversity and entrepreneurship.
