Alongside being the Chair and Founder of the Black British Business Awards, Melanie was also the Executive Producer for the Women of the World Festival (WoW) a global gender equality festival occurring with over two million women over 50 cities in five continents. A very experienced international speaker, Andy is the author of three books on networking, has been quoted in a number of other business books and is regularly quoted in the international press. His fourth book will be published by Bloomsbury Publishing in 2019. Andy is a Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association (PSA) and of the Learning and Performance Institute and a Master of the Institute for Sales Management.

TRACEY GROVES | FOUNDER & CEO, INTELLIGENT ETHICS

Tracey is a trusted business adviser and educator on ethical leadership to Boards and Senior Business Leaders and has deep consulting and business transformation experience.  Working at PwC UK for over 25 years, the last 6 years as a Forensics Partner, Tracey’s specialism is advising Leaders and delivering executive training on Corporate Governance, Culture and Behaviours, Trust and Ethical Business Conduct, driven by all types of reputational risk across diverse organisations, sectors and industries.

As the Founder and CEO of her own advisory business, Intelligent Ethics, Tracey is passionate about how developing Leaders define and embrace what ‘doing the right thing’ means to them using behaviours, culture and trustworthiness as critical levers for change and placing customers at the heart of doing sustainable and responsible business. Jenny Garrett is an Award Winning Coach, Speaker and Trainer with over 12 years’ experience of running a Global Business. She is a Freeman of the Guild of Entrepreneurs – City of London and was listed in Brummell Magazines Top 30 City Innovators 2016.

Jenny works with individuals and organisations, using her unique combination of skills around gender balance, leadership and self improvement to inspire and empower, achieving career and life changing results beyond expectation.

VANESSA VALLELY OBE | MANAGING DIRECTOR, WEARETHECITY

Vanessa is one of the UK’s most well-networked women and has provided keynotes on on a variety of career related topics for over 500 companies worldwide. Vanessa is also one of the UK’s most prominent figures in gender equality and often provides guidance and consultancy to both government and corporate organisations who are seeking to attract, develop and retain their female talent. Vanessa was awarded her OBE in June 2018 for her services to women and the economy.

At the height of her successful 25 year career in the financial services, Vanessa launched the award winning WeAreTheCity.com in 2008 as a vehicle to help women progress in their careers. Vanessa is also the author of the book “Heels of Steel: Surviving and Thriving in the Corporate World” which tracks her career and shares 13 chapters of tips to succeed in the workplace.

Kate Franklin is a passionate and straight-talking speaker. Kate adapts her material and approach to ensure she has a provocative and validating impact on every audience – from stressed executives at leadership conferences to primary school children. Kate is a successful entrepreneur and people development expert with over twenty years of global business experience, a fantastic knowledge base from which to share insights into leadership, change and resilience.

Kate is co-founder and Director of White & Lime, a people development consultancy specialising in peak performance for individuals and teams. She has been running her own business since 2005, in Washington DC and London. Before that she was head of leadership development for RSA Insurance, having held a range of leadership and strategic HR roles for RSA across UK and Europe over eight years.

VIV GROSKOP | MANAGING DIRECTOR, AUTHOR; HOW TO OWN THE ROOM

Viv Groskop is a writer, stand-up comedian and TV and radio presenter. She has hosted book tours for Graham Norton and Jo Brand, is the veteran of four Edinburgh Fringe shows and fronts the cult podcasts Dear Viv and We Are Women. She has presented BBC Radio 4’s Front Row and Saturday Review and appears regularly on BBC1’s This Week. As an executive coach, she works with women across business, media and advertising, helping them to hone their authority, presence and leadership.

Anna Baird is an accomplished digital transformation leader drawing on her customer experience consulting and technology background. Kay White is known as The Smart Career Moves Mentor for Corporate Women and is the Author of two Number 1 best-selling books (The A to Z of Being Understood AND It’s Always Your Move).

Kay shows experienced corporate career women how to own and leverage their skills and experience so they more confidently navigate their career paths towards promotion, more recognition and more rewards (all without losing themselves along the way).

SOPHIE WALKER | FEMINIST ACTIVIST & FOUNDING LEADER OF THE WOMEN’S EQUALITY PARTY

Sophie Walker is a feminist activist and Founding Leader of the Women’s Equality Party. She is passionate about rebuilding politics, business and society for and with (extra)ordinary women, activating fresh thinkers and remodelling leadership for a changing world. She ran for London Mayor in 2016 and in 2017 stood for election to Westminster against ‘men’s rights’ MP Philip Davies, campaigning for equal pay, affordable childcare and an end to violence against women. She was named by Vogue in 2018 as one of the ‘New Suffragettes’ and is a regular speaker and contributor to media on the subject of women’s rights, representation and rebellion.

Mandy Flint is an international expert on leadership impact, teams and cultural behavioural change. She is CEO of Excellence in Leadership and works across the world delivering transformational change programmes and C-suite coaching. Mandy studied at Harvard Business School and is a fellow of the London Metropolitan Business School. She is also an established speaker at leadership and cultural change events around the globe. Mandy worked as a senior leader for American Express internationally for 14 years.

Hope Virgo is the Author of Stand Tall Little Girl, and an international leading advocate for people with eating disorders. Hope helps young people and employers (including schools, hospitals and businesses) to deal with the rising tide of mental health issues which affect one in four people and costs employers between £33 and £42 billion annually. JEMIMA JEFFERSON | MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINER, MEDITATION TEACHER & INCLUSION & DIVERSITY CONSULTANT

Jemima is a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, Meditation Teacher and Diversity & Inclusion consultant who has worked in the corporate world for over 20 years in investment banking, insurance, government and consultancy.

She has been involved with people with mental illness since childhood when her father was on the board of one of the old asylums so when she first started working she volunteered for her local Mind group, helping them to develop into a formal organisation which she went on to Chair for 5 years.

She is passionate about mental health in the workplace and set up one of the first disability networks in investment banking, using that to start conversations about mental illness at work from 2005 onwards whilst working as a Diversity Manager for Credit Suisse in London.

A graduate in Psychology, and trained in Counselling and Psychotherapy, she uses her knowledge and experience to inform and support her work. She has been a Trustee of two Mind groups, is the founder of the Gay Women’s Network (GWN), which she currently Co-chairs and has also supported the LGBTQ+ community through volunteer counselling for the East London Out Project.

Jemima believes that if we could all just slow down, take a breath and learn to be present, the world would become a kinder, gentler and more loving place.

ROB MUKHERJEE | DIRECTOR OF TRANSFORMATION, EVERYCLOUD SECURITY

Rob is Director of Transformation at EveryCloud Security – a leading cloud and cybersecurity consultancy.

A passionate believer in a people-led future fuelled by technology, he also leads EveryCloud’s partnership with Workplace by Facebook, focused on giving every employee a voice regardless of role or location.

A regular public speaker on the subjects of Cybersecurity, The Future Of Work and Diversity & Inclusion, Rob is also a Judge for the UK Business Tech Awards and the Northern Power Women Awards – and is a Trustee on the board of GreaterSport, a Manchester-based charity passionate about changing lives through sport and physical activity.

ANNE-MARIE HEADLEY | STRATEGIC HR BUSINESS PARTNER, NORTHERN & EAST EUROPE, UBER

Anne-Marie Headley is Strategic HR Business Partner at Uber, Northern and Eastern Europe. She has close to two decades ‘ experience in the IT industry and specialises in transforming Fortune 500 companies, scaling growth companies and building high-performance cultures.  Her previous role was at Cisco Systems, where she was part of the leadership team of the Service Provider Applications and Platform Group which generated revenues in excess of $1 billion. At Uber Anne-Marie is responsible for organisational development, workplace culture and employee experience.  She is a Trustee of Reedham Children’s Trust, Trustee of The Legacy OnSide Youth Zone, a Group Group Mentor at the Aleto Foundation and Founder of Toastmasters for Cass Business School in London.
